I was taking Cycless and my body started getting used to the hormones i suppose (because I was getting my period every two weeks). I last got my period in June. i was supposed to start a new pack on June 20th, but I didn't have anymore because my Rx ran out and I couldnt make an appt. with my GYN until June 28th. So, For the month of June, I decided I'd just stop taking pills (i didn't really have many other options). So, after my last period, I did have unprotected sex once (i know i know, probably a bad idea, no need to scold me now), although it was only a few days after i ended my period (i thought that was the safest time to do it). After that, we used a condom every time (which was only about three other times). Anyways, I was supposed to get my period this past Sunday, but I didn't. I'm wondering, I know i'm only a few days late (6 days - sun-thurs) but i'm wondering if i should be worrying. I have been discharging the past few days like i usually do before my period (sorry, i know that's kind of gross) but it still hasn't come. Do i need to be too worried -- i'm pretty calm right now. I figure with the stopping of the birth control pills, that threw my body out of whack. any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated...many thanks

well since u did stop ur bc then it could just be that ur body is getting used to not having it anymore. But if u want to ease ur mind about anything and since ur af is late then i would go and get a pregnancy test and take it. i had ic with my last bf after my period was over with and i still got pg. so it can happen. i'm not trying to scare u but if u really want to ease ur mind then go and get a pg test and see what happens. keep us posted.

It is fairly common for women to miss a couple of periods after stopping the pill.

You had unprotected sex at a bad time. Since sperm can live inside you for 5 days (I've been reading Taking Charge of your Fertility), they could have still been there when/if you ovulated.

But also, your body is probably thrown off when you stopped taking the pills.

I'd suggest giving it a few more days, and then take a preg test just to put your mind at ease.

Hope everything turns out the way you want it!
