Diaphragm Help!

I got a new diaphragm from my Dr yesterday. I tested inserting it, and, as he, said, I didn't feel it, so I assume I had inserted in correctly. I still doubt myself though and was wondering if there are any other tips to be sure its inserted correctly? I have read that you should be able to feel the cervix...honestly, I'm not sure if I know what that should feel like! I know it was a little hard to remove at first, but I was able to figure out what position worked best for my body. Maybe TMI, but it took reaching in about a full finger to access the diaphragm...is that correct?
I feel a little foolish being 30 and not fully knowing my body better, but any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!!

I totally understand where you're coming from. I started using a diaphragm about 2 or 3 months ago and spent a lot of time worrying if I inserted it properly. To check if the diaphragm is covering your cervix, simply insert your fingers, feel on top of the area that the diaphragm is covering and you should feel something round, like a bump, that is underneathe the diaphragm (some people say it feels like the tip of your nose) and that is your cervix. . .hope that helped. . .good luck!!! :)
