Ovcon 35

Hi,
I was on OTC-Lo and then switched to OTC because of BTB. This month, I began Ovcon 35 to try to alleviate the BTB. I'm in my 3rd week, and experiencing more BTB than I ever had with either of the first 2 pills. I know I shouldn't worry yet, because this is still only my first month.
However, I read somewhere that Ovcon 35 should be prescribed when there is an absent or too light of a flow. That sounds contrary to what I need. I need something that will better control my uterine lining while I'm still on the active pills.
Any advice?

While I don't exactly know the answer to your question, I just wanted to say that I empathize with you about the side effects. I, too, am in the third week of my 1st month of Ovcon 35, after switching from OTC-Lo. I had heavy BTB on OTC-Lo, and my doctor switched me to Ovcon 35, saying that the monophasic pills are less likely to have side effects such as BTB as opposed to tri-phasic pills. Not only am I getting a minor amount of BTB in my third week of active pills, but I'm also getting oh-so-fun cramps (minor) and back pain. Ah, what I've always wanted. But just wanted to share my experience - we're in the same boat!
Good luck, hope you find the answer to your question.
I was on OTC and the ONLY month I didn't have BTB was my 8th and final month, but at that point, my doctor had already told me to start Ovcon 35. I just don't want a ton of BTB next month because I'll be in Italy for 2 weeks, and I don't really need to bleed the entire trip!
Good luck with the pill - and have fun on your trip to Italy!
Hope the pill keeps working for you!
I am at wits end. I was so excited in May and June to not have BTB but now I am discouraged again.
Hope we all can get back to normal !
Good luck!
