Heavy pill period on extended cycle

just a warning that this might get a little graphic. please forgive me, but there's no better way to explain my situation and ask my questions. :)
I just finished my first cycle of seasonale. I didn't have any bleeding for the first 9 and a half weeks, but the final few weeks i had continuous ultra-low-level spotting. right now i'm on my second day of my period. it's heavier and crampier than when i was on a 28-day cycle (which I expected), but i'm also experiencing more solid material expulsion along with the blood. (be prepared, graphic detail ahead:) earlier today i found a largish wad of tissue on my tampon, it looked like skin (it was pinkish-beige) and had a few clots clinging to it.
is this normal? is this just my endometrium coming off thicker and faster than before? Have other women experienced this? In the past I've had nothing bigger than some clots and maybe a little mucous in my menstrual discharge, so this is really freaky to me. Should I call my gyno's office about it?

Thanks for sharing. I don't think we have had anyone else post about her experience with a Seasonale period. It certainly sounds like something I would expect, heavier growth of endometrium and perhaps some large portions being shed in tact. As a reference, have you skipped on a 21/7 pill for the same length of time? I think it’s a good idea to call your doctor and share your experience with him or her. Since Seasonale is so new s/he may not have much experience with it either as yet. Let us know what your doc says, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
I've never skipped on any pill before, I was on OTC for 5 years before I started Seasonale. I'm going to see my internist tomorrow, so I'll ask her about it then. If she's not sure, I'll give my gyno a call. I already bugged her office about something earlier this week, so I don't want to be too much of a pain. ;)
