getting BC

I am considering getting on birth control, except I have an issue--I am still on my parents insurance plan and I don't want them to know I am on it (because then they will know I am sexually active). I know you can get BC from planned parenthood, but does anyone know exactly which methods they offer you? Because I am aiming towards the patch or shot (I am too forgetful for the pill), but do they even provide that? Or are those things you need to see a Dr. for? Any feedback would be lovely. Thanks!

Hi waterchika, welcome!

The methods on offer at various Planned Parenthood clinics will probably vary to some extent. The thing to do is to call the one(s) nearest you and ask what they have available. The clinic locator is: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/Zip.htm Let us know what you choose, ok?

Good luck,
