You got your period again on 7/25 because your body saw the withdrawal or progestin on 7/21 as the signal to start your period again, and that’s what happened. It is entirely possible to be fertile a few days after stopping hormonal contraceptives since you did not take them continuously for 21 days which we know will then provide 7 hormone free days of protection. You should definitely be using an effective method of contraception. Let us know how you’re doing, ok?
Sometimes I get that too....I have an IUD....I haven't charted to see if it's around ovulation time or not...but I get that too while I'm on my period sometimes....
Unless you've previously used fertility awareness to determine that you -always- ovulate on day X of your cycle, counting days from the start of your period is not necessarily going to tell you when you ovulate. The time between a period and ovulation can vary from woman to woman, sometimes even from month to month. Especially because you recently used the patch, even if it was only for a few days, I would consider this especially unreliable! You're best off to use another reliable method of contraception until you get your cycles figured out, and if you're not already familiar with fertility awareness (FAM), you might consider learning the method to more reliably determine when you ovulate.
