My girlfriend and I used condom earlier this month. In the heat of the moment we used petroleum jelly instead of Ky. I know its bad, that the oil hurts the latex. However, it didn't break or tear or anything. Im starting to freak out a little bit. Should I still be extra worried? My girlfriend isn't late yet, and she says she wont go take a test until she is late and takes one at home. What do yall think?

Yep, that’s a major oops. If you know for sure that the condom didn't leak or spill then you might have managed to skate... this time! I think you may be lucky!
Any oil based lube or medicine will deteriorate latex barriers rapidly. A way around that is to use a polyurethane condom, but it's not really a good idea to get in the habit of using oil base products as intimate lube because you are likely to forget and compromise your protection if you switch back to a latex barrier. It might be a good idea to have a small bottle of Astroglide, or other suitable lube, with the condoms to avoid this happening again. Your GF is right to wait and see if Aunt Flow arrives on time. If she's a no show then is the time to test. Thanks for stopping by. Let us know how she's doing, ok?
Good luck to you both.
