Hi, this is my first time writing here, I want to say thanks in advance for any advise.
To start off, I just started a new bc pill (I was on the mini pill, because of breast feeding). For the past 5 weeks I have had nausea, lightheadedness, stomach cramping, and some diarrhea. The nausea has been either every day or every other. Just out of no where, but sometimes if I smell certain foods. At first I could have sworn I was pregnant, but I had my period last week. I don't know what to think. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

If you just stopped breastfeeding your hormones are still settling down so your pill is on top of all your new mom hormones right now. It's not unusual to have side effects for the first 3 cycles or so when starting a new pill and nausea and dizziness are some of them. If you aren't doing it already, you might want to take your pill at night with some saltines to lessen the nausea and sleep through some of it. If the side effects don't disappear in another 2 cycles you could talk with your doctor about a pill change. I hope you're feeling better soon. Let us know how you're doing, ok?
Hugs,
Jill
If you can’t wait that long and you can’t return to your former doctor you need to see another medical professional. I would try your local public health clinic or a Planned Parenthood clinic near you. The PP clinic can be found by entering your zip in their clinic finder at: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/Zip.htm I hope you can find a contraceptive method that works well for you and that you’re feeling better soon. Let us know how you’re doing, ok?
Hugs,
