Changing Pill Time?
| Fri, 07-30-2004 - 9:20pm |
Ok. So I'm moving home after graduating from college and I want to change my pill time in the mornings rather than in the evenings. What is the best way to do this? Should I wait until my period and then start my new pack during the time i want to? or is there another way to do it, if at all?
thanks in advance!

It depends in which direction you want to move your pill time. If you want to take your pills earlier in the day, for example, moving from noon to 8:00 AM, (less than 24 hours between your old pill time and the new time) then you can move it at any time and all at once and it will not decrease the effectiveness of your pills.
If you want to move the time from 8:00 AM to noon, (more than 24 hours between your old pill time and the new time) then you should move it in one hour increments over 4 days or all at once on the last day of your placebo week. If you move it all at once that will change your start day. Ok?
Good luck,
Jill
Thanks.

If you want to move from 9pm to 6am, you could just do it, at any time..... for example, take today's pill (Sunday) at 9pm, take tomorrow's pill (Monday) at 6am..... you're done! If you are *very* sonsitive to the hormones, you might notice a few side effects (due to having a slightly higher concentration of hormones in your body in one 24 hour span), but I think that is doubtful. You could also start at the new time with the new pack (same start day, just earlier in the day) because this will not lengthen the number of days without hormones.
