Is it the pill?!?

Ugh! Just frustrated - wondering if this is possible with this pill I am on...

I am just always so fatigued! I am just forever tired and I only noticed it after switching to the bc pills I am on now. I just had a physical so I know it's not anything else - and of course - forgot to talk to the doctor about it (have another appt tomorrow) - but is that a side effect?!?

Also, leg cramps? They aren't consistent - but at times it is annoying! It isn't a major pain or anything - just like a dull aching in my lower legs. Is that also a side effect?!?

I just hate birth control pills altogether - but they are the best method of birth control for me at this time...

Has anyone had these types of side effects before?!?

If you switched to a higher progestin pill than what you were taking before, fatigue could be a side effect. A lot of doctors don't recognize it as such, but a number of us do! When I was on Triphasil I felt like a slug, not so with anything else I've taken.

As far as leg cramps, you might look at where you're getting potassium in your diet. The pill can change how we use some vitamins and minerals (not sure if potassium is included), and I do know that leg cramps can sometimes be helped by potassium (have a banana!).

Good luck!

I felt extreme fatigue on Estrostep and Loestrin but not on OTC or OTC Lo.

That is what I am on - Loestrin!! UGH - I just can't seem to find a pill that works right now! The best I ever had was ortho try - but my doctor doesn't carry that - so I can't be back on that!

Well...looks like some more experimentation!!

I'm taking Yasmin and love it! Maybe you might consider giving it a try!

I tried yasmin and it was the WORSE for me (besides depo!)

So I went to the doctor - she said its not uncommon to have fatigue on the loestrin.

So - she switched me again! The best pill I had was ortho try - so I am now on the generic one. My doctor stopped carrying it but now have the generic version!

God I hope it works!
