Hi,

I've been on birth control pills since I was 16 (im now 21) I started out with Mircette which I adored, but switched to Alesse because the other was too expensive. My college stoped carying Alesse so I was forced to switch to Ortho-Low (Ilike to keep 'em low b/c my mother had breast cancer). Now, I was checking out the web site and they absolutely gauranteed that there would be no breast tenderness, mood swings, or weight gain. I've never experienced any probelms with mood or body with my other pill; and during the 1st month with Ortho my breasts were very very sore and I hated my fiance with a passion for no reason. Month 2, I think I'm gaining weight. Has anyone out there experienced anything like this? Am I imagining the weight gain? The other symptoms have since vanished and maybe this will too. If you have any advice PLEASE help me out! :)

Thanks!!

i am on it too, about 9 mnths now. i really am not a big fan either. i was on the patch, it was fine.my boobs got way bigger on the patch, and i had a 2 day desceat period, no pms.

but on otho-lo my periods last 5 days, i get terrible pms-cramps, back aches, moody.

and i am pretty Sure they makers do Not guarantee NO symptoms....just decreased, so they say. But we are all a different chemical make up, so it is hard to tell what will work with your body. Even if you go back to a pill you used in the past, you may have an adverse-or different reaction this new time.
