Okay, 2 days ago I met up with a guy I had beentalking to for a while and we had sex. I told him to put on the condom and he said he would and i trusted him, but when i looked down I saw that he hadn't and he accidentally bust inside me. I CANNOT get pregnant I will never be able to live it down and that is the LAST thing I want right now. I'm not on birth control so the same day I got an Emergency Contraceptive Kit and I took the first two pills, then exactly 12 hours later I took the next set of two pills as directed on the package. Then 3 hours after I took the final dose I started throwing up very violently and I thre up the whole day, then I fell on the floor in the bathroom and my cousins picked me up and took me to Patient First. The doctors there suspected a problem with my appendix so then I was moved to a real hospital where I was given a cat scan. It showed that I had no problems with my appendix but I had a lot of fluid around my ovaries and my uterus. They didn't know what it meant and they suggested that I go to a gynecologist, so before I do that it's been troubling me and I want to know exactly what this mean and if I could be pregnant or not. The doctor asked me was I sexually active which lead me to believe that being sexually active had something to do with it, so I'm wondering if this means that I may be pregnant or what. PLEASE HELP I AM SO SCARED AND I CANNNOT GET PREGNANT THAT IS TOTALLY OUT OF THE QUESTION FOR ME...I REALLY NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON BECAUSE I'M SO SCARED!!!!PLEASE HELP?!?!?!?!?!

Did you tell the doctors there that you had taken emergency contraception? One of the side effects of it is vomiting and they should have known you'd taken that. You should make an appointment with your doctor to have the fluid problem looked at, and you need to be honest and tell the doctor that you are sexually active, and that you have taken emergency contraception. It makes their job impossible if you withhold information.

You can't be pregnant yet, it takes 6 to 12 days after ovulation for implantation to occur, so you will want to take a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks to find out for sure. If you took the emergency contraception right away, then it's a very good chance that it will keep you from getting pregnant.

Hi scared811, welcome!

I agree with kellyann_25! You can't be evasive with your doctor(s) and expect successful treatment. If you managed to hold down the 2nd dose of EC for 2 hours it was probably digested and got into your bloodstream ok. I'm sorry you had nausea with EC but that is a possible side effect of the high dose of progestin.

You need to be on an effective method of contraception, one that you can control. And, since you can't be certain about the guy who wouldn’t wear a condom, you should be tested for STDs. Condoms are your only protection against them. Let us know how you're doing, ok?

Hugs,
