Nope cant feel themif you have them in right- i like em better than tampons-- i have been using them since May this year and will NEVER go back to tampons or pads! ( unless i have another baby of course, then ill use them again after the initial post birth flow) lol I love em-- they dont shift-- at least for me and i cant feel em at all. Hubby doesnt even know im wearing em. Yes they are available at walmart in the in between the tampons and douches/feminine sprays, powders and such-- a box of 14 is 3.96 here in Mississippi. Dont know what the price is for the rest of the world! lol

Good luck

I bought these so I could have sex, I think I had them inserted right, I couldn't feel it while moving around, had no leakage and it seemed to 'gather' the blood.

But I can feel it with my fingers pretty easily, which made me nervous that if I can feel it with my fingers (and I assume since I have to pull it out, I should be able too), how can your partner not feel it during sex? Do I not have it in far enough, even though for all other purposes it seemed to work as it should?

My hubby has never said he has felt it except when we were playing around one time-- he asked what it was and i told him ( kinda spoiled the moment) but hes NEVER been able to feel them when we have sex-- granted it may depend on how large your man is-- when i use the instead cups i can feel the bottom of the rim and thats it--

I think a coupleof other ladies said that the instead cups didnt fit them right-- i would think though if its collecting and you cant feel it and you arent leaking then you should have it in right.

I guess all in all it depends on your anatomy and your partners anatomy. Good luck

My husband says he feels it during sex, but that it's not a problem. It's flexible plastic and it doesn't hurt him to bump into it.

One caution - if you're using Instead during sex, make sure you use a fresh one. If it's been in there collecting blood for a long time and it gets bumped, you can end up with a mess.

I tried the cup for the first time after reading your posts. I have a tipped uterus (backwards), so I wasn't sure whether to follow the directions of pushing it down and back or try to reverse them. I did insert as directed, felt the rim easily and did have some leakage, so I musn't have had it in correctly. During sex dh said he could feel it and it was a little uncomfortable for him. Afterwards, it was lodged so far up and back that I couldn't even find the rim anymore. I had to go out, so left the cup in for the next ten hours and tried to dislodge it again when I got home. I could not reach the rim with my finger at all. So I finally had to keep pulling on the pouch while bearing down to break the suction so I could grab the rim. The pouch broke from my tugging on it, but I finally did hear a pop sound as the sunction broke, and I was abe to grab the rim and get it out. The good part is that during the ten hours that it was stuck, it didn't leak at all. The bad part is that I was getting majorly frustrated and made a mess trying to get it out. Maybe it's not appropriate for my anatomy, but I sure loved being able to have sex during period week when dh typically won't come near me!

This is my second month using them. I haven't had any problems with them at all. Very easy to insert, very comfortable, easy to remove and dispose. I'm not at all grossed out by the insertion process, it's just my body. No different than sticking my finger up my nose or in my mouth, right?

I haven't had sex with one in yet, and am not sure how the logistics of that would work.

The softcup website has a message board there, and they answer a bunch of questions on how it works.

This was actually the reason why I came to this board tonight, I know the Instead cup isn't bc but I thought someone here might have info on it and yep here it is! LOL

Just sharing that this thread was useful to yet another person (me)

Thanks all!
