Does anyone have any info on the type of pill? My doctor prescribed them to help with the migraines. But I can't find any helpful info on them. I think they are called Camil (sp???) Any info would be grateful

I've used mini pills before. They have a very low incidence of side effects, and no estrogen (estrogen in combination pills can cause migraines).

They have a higher failure rate than regular pills for typical use. If a pregnancy is something you're trying very hard to avoid, then you need to read the instructions carefully and do exactly what they say. You need to take your pills at exactly the same time every day, more than 3 hours late dramatically reduces the effectiveness and means you need a backup method for at least 2 days. The pharmacy also recommended in their information printout they gave me that I should use a backup method for 4 days before and after ovulation (mini pills prevent ovulation only about half the time).
