Tricky Q about stopping/starting pill...

I was a bit confused about this so I hope that someone might be able to help me out. I went off the pill about 8months ago and 1month ago I decided to go back on them. Just wondering, if I stopped the pill right now how long do you think it would take before I would be able to fall pregnant? I dont know how the pill would affect my cycle since I've only been on it 1month. When I fell pregnant with my 1st child I was only off the pill for 2 months (only 1 cycle with bleeding)beforehand and I had been on it for over 2 years then.
So what do you all think? Would I fall pregnant in this cycle or the next at the earliest? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

The length of time you have been taking BCPs has no effect on the time it takes to return to fertility. I think most women will ovulate within 2 weeks after stopping oral contraceptives, I did when I came off OTC several years ago, after being on the pill for 3 years. So, if you stop your pills and are trying to avoid you should use another effective method of contraception. If you are TTC then while it's possible to become pg within a few weeks of stopping some doctors recommend waiting to start trying for several cycles to let your cycles stabilize. Does this help? Thanks for posting. Let us know how you're doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
