I currently have the copper IUD and have had it for over 2 years now. I've had too many problems and too many infections so I'm getting it removed. I need something with no hormone or low hormone. I heard Yasmine and Ortho-lo are low hormone. Anyone have any feed back for me?

Thank you!

Hi crazyb2000, welcome back!

If you are looking for a hormonal method then take a look at the post 'Your pills and what's in them' in the FAQs at the top of the board. The methods (pill, patch and ring) are listed in order by the amount of estrogen in them, with the lowest first. If you are thinking no hormones then you might want to consider a vaginal barrier, a diaphragm or cervical cap. There is also a post in the FAQs about them. Just remember we are all different, so what works well for one woman may be horrible for another. I hope you find an effective method that works well for you. Let us know what you decide, ok?

Good luck,

Hi, just wanted to let you know that I was SO SCARED to start ortho lo b/c of all the horror stories I have heard, but it is WORKING BEAUTIFULLY. My face is clearing up, I have had NO mood swings, my boobs feel fuller (!) and in general, everything is great. I would highly recommend Lo... I have been on ortho lo for not even a month, but everything is going perfectly. I'd give it a try- good luck!
