I started taking ortho-cyclen about 7 months ago but i was taking it incorrectly for about 4 months. When my gynocologist prescribed me it, i misunderstood him and thought that i could skip my period every month (i kno, stupid). Well, a side effect that i noticed and others did too was that my boobs definitely got bigger. When my doc found out that i was taking the pills every day he told me to stop for about a month. I did and now i am back at my normal size. About 2 months ago i started taking the pills again except this time of course im taking them the right way. Now my boobs haven't gotten any bigger and i think its becuz when i stop taking them for a week every month the hormone levels get very low. I kinda have a bad self image and i wish they would get bigger again but it doesnt seem to be happening and i think about it alot. I dont want to take the pills the wrong way again tho. I cant anyway because then i will run out before my prescription will let me get any more. What do u think is going on? Did this side effect only happen becuz i was taking them every single day? Is there any way i can get more pills? thanks

Be happy with what you have. It is all about confidence. DOn't take your BC the wrong way just so you will be bigger. Before I started BC, a few days before my period, my breasts would go up a full cup size. Now they don't grow, and I really don't care. Actually, they are a little smaller, but I am fine with it. Most guys don't care, and if they do, then they are not worth the time. I know that sometimes bigger breasts look nice, but it isn't worth doing something your doctor does not advise.

If you want larger breasts, I would recommend doing implants. But that's something you should do for yourself, not for some guy. Don't play with hormones for that. You can cause a lot more problems than you will get good out of it.

I'm not sure about your BC preferences but my best friend switched from the pill to the patch and her breast size increased tremendously. She went from an average B or C to "too big for a D". I have switched to the patch and have also noticed an increase in my breast size. I am not saying this will work for everyine but that is a known side effect to the patch. You might wanna check it out. Not only does it increase breast size, it is easy to remember. It's only once a week.

Hope this helps!

The patch is the only one that makes mine grow too. I grow about a half cup size for the entire month; they increase a little more with each patch of the cycle and then shrink back on my week off. I am certain that this doesn’t happen for everyone, but it is the only one that does it to me. I have used several pills and Norplant. Dh and I think it is very funny. I am switching back to Necon 1/35 this fall because it agrees with me a lot better. Dh & I find the breast increase amusing but wouldn’t decide to use or not use my patch because of it.

The bottom line, in my opinion, is that if hormonal birth control does everything you need and makes them grow, enjoy it.

Self-image really has nothing to do with how you look. It's all about how you feel. Changing your appearance may make you feel better temporarily, but if you have self-image problems, then sooner or later you will just find something else to be down on yourself about. I would forget the bigger boobs and figure out what it is that makes you so self-critical and then work on fixing that. You are more than your cup size.
