Just to make sure

I'm currently taking ortho cyclen, and I know the instructions say that if you vomit or have diarrhea 2 hours after you take your pill, it counts as a missed pill. But I just wanted to make sure about this, because a little bit ago I had a couple loose bowel movements about an hour before I took my pill. However, I didn't have any more after taking my pill. Do you think I still absorbed my pill ok then?
Also, I had a random other question. If when you miss one or two pills, there is a chance that you will ovulate and so you are instructed to use backup, then why don't you ovulate during the placebo week when you actually miss 7 pills? And also, if you miss a pill or two, they say to use backup for 7 days. If you have ovulated, wouldn't you need to use backup until you have your period and not just 7 days?

Ok, I don't actually know why you don't ovulate during your placebo week. I'm sure someone else can answer that for us??
I know you don't need to use backup longer than 7 days if you miss just because the chance is that you ovulated when you actually missed the pill. When you start taking again, you practically immediately cancel out your chances of ovulating anymore. But if you've already ovulated, that egg is in your system for a few days waiting to be fertilized. However, as far as my understanding goes, it is no longer in your system after 7 days or at least it is no longer fertilizable, so you can't get pregnant after that.
I hope I'm right here, but that's how I understand it. At any rate, hopefully someone can answer the question about the placebos??
