I started taking the pill (seasonale) just about 2 weeks ago. I started on the Sunday after my period (my period started Friday and ended on monday). I was just wondering if i should be feeling any side effects by now? I had a terrible head ache for the past 12 hours today and felt a little nauseus every now and then, but i wasn't sure if that was from the pill or because i've been so deprived of sleep lately (i work 2 jobs -70-90 hrs a week).
I haven't had any spotting or anything (i don't think)...i had sex with my boyfriend the other night and i noticed that i was bleeding a little bit but it stopped within an hour so i guess it was just from him and not the pill. I've been taking the pill at exactly the same time everyday (12:00 pm) +/- 10 or 15 minutes and one day i took it at 11:30 am. But i haven't missed any and i haven't been what is considered "late" on this board.
I read somewhere that the pill might actually NOT WORK for some people. I'm just afraid that i'll be one of those people since i don't seem like i'm experiencing any side effects. Or is it still too early to tell??
thanx

Two weeks is very early in the adjustment period for Seasonale. Side effects and nausea are two possible side effects but at this point it's hard to say if your's are pill related or not. If you have been taking your pills correctly you should be quite safe. Actually, most people don't experience side effects. A lot of posters are here because of problems which is why there are so many posts about things not going well. If things are going well few people stop by to say so. Oral contraceptives are 98-99% effective if taken correctly... So, you should be just fine. Keep us posted on how you are doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
