Hello, I am currently on Ortho Tri Cyclin and for certain reasons I'm thinking about switching. I've been reading up on Yasmin and so far, I like what I see.

I wanted to know, for those who are on it, how do you like it?

Can you tell me what, if any, side effects you are having?

I know it's different w/ everyone, but I just wanted an idea.

Thanks,

Jodi

Hi, I'm on Ortho tricyclen-lo and I also like the way Yasmin sounds, I'm just a little nervous about switching to a different pill. but the one I'm on gives me mood swings and my period seems just a little longer than when I wasnt on birth control even though I think it's somewhat lighter. If you start Yasmin let me know how it goes?

I've been on Yasmin since June, prior to that I was on Mircette for about a 1 1/2 years. I have noticed that my period is not as bad as it was on Mircette ... I start on a Tuesday and am usually done on a Saturday and Sunday. I like how it stops my period whereas it seemed like with Mircette, I was going into the active pills before it would stop. I havent noticed any weight gain from this one yet, that I can tell.

BtW, do you like bengal cats? just wondering because of your screen name! I have 5 bengals.

I too was on OTC and switched to Yasmin about a year ago and have had a great experience with it. No longer do I have the mood swings, BTB, headaches or weight gain.

It has worked out well for me.

I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and switched to Yasmin in March. So far it has been great. I have yet to experience the mood swings, headaches, and weight gain that I experienced with OTC-Lo. The only side effect that I have noticed is lack of lubrication, which is easily remidied.

I wish you the best if you do switch. Nothing is worse than not feeling well.

Anyone switch from Desogen to Yasmin? I've been starting my period very early, lots of moodswings, horrible PMS - I'm hoping this will rectify this!

I switched from Desogen/Apri to Yasmin because my new doctor preferred Yasmin, but there was a couple month break in between. I had no side effects on Desogen, but I must have been allergic to Yasmin or something. Severe nausea!
