Take care, Robin.
Take care, Robin.

It’s good to see you back, but not under these circumstances. I'm sorry you had such a bad time on Seasonale, that sometimes happens. Right now your body is confused. It saw the drop in hormones when you stopped Seasonale as the signal to shed endometrium again. In this case I think it's not that there was much of it it's the condition of the blood vessels that feed the lining that determine your bleeding. It will probably stop in a few days as your natural hormones regain control but there have been cases where stopping mid pack the bleeding took a lot longer.
If you were doing well on the patch you could try using it continuously (no patch free week) for several cycles at a time and get the same effect as with Seasonale. It might be worth a try. Extending your cycle on any hormonal method can be a bit of trial and error. Even if the pill works well in a 21/7 regimen for some women there may not be enough progestin in it to hold the endometrium stable for an entire three month interval, but you won't know which will work until you try. You might want to read ‘Irregular bleeding anyone…’ in the FAQs at the top of the board. I hope your bleeding stops soon. Let us know how you’re doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
Thanks again, Robin.
