Depo causing constant nausea/gas pains?

I got the Depo shot a month ago - for about 3 weeks now I've been having nausea and gas pains. Some days it's all day, other days it's just in the afternoon - but it's every day. It's got so bad that at dinner I just pick at it because my stomach is too upset to eat a lot. (Good for dieting I guess! LOL)
Just wondering if this is a normal side-effect?
I plan on getting Mirena when this shot wears off - I just got it because at the time I went to an on-call Dr. thinking it was no big deal - and they wouldn't give me the Mirena. (Long story) However my usual OB-GYN says I *can* get Mirena. So instead of waiting longer, I just got the Depo. shot and at the end of 12 weeks I'll go back to my usual OB-GYN to get Mirena. Whew! (What a trip that was to even get my birth control in the first place! After they told me I couldn't get Mirena, I had to get a PG test to get the Depo shot - no big deal. But it came back POSITIVE. So I had to go for a blood draw, negative. Whew! What a day though! LOL)
THANKS ladies!

If I were you I’d call my doctor and see what s/he has to say about the symptoms you are having. I hope you’re feeling better soon. Let us know how you’re doing, ok?
Hugs,
