Birth control pills contributing to TMJ?

Hi everyone. I recently read an article stating that estrogen might be a contributing factor in TMJ pain. Apparently we have estrogen receptors in our jaws. I was wondering if by taking birth control pills, am I adding to my TMJ pain? Has anyone else heard anything about this? Most people who have TMJ are women, so I just wanted to know if anyone else on the pill also has problems with TMJ.

I have TMJ pretty bad, and haven't noticed a difference when I'm on BC, or when I'm not. I think stress is a bigger factor. :)
