Changing times!

Hey everyone, seems like I haven't been on here in forever. I have a question, I've been on the pill now for three months, and I've taken it religiously at 10 pm each night. However, I am thinking of changing that time from 10 pm to noon. How would I go about doing that? Would I with my new pack just start taking pills reguraly at 12 pm? Would there be any side effects? Would I have to use backup again for another month or...would I be good to go? My placebo week is coming up, so I was just wondering what you guys would think. I decided that 12 is a more reasonable time to take the pill than 10, since sometimes at 10, all I want to do is sleep or I'm at work.

Any advice would be very appreciated!

I would do it at the start of your new pack. Just be sure to move backward and not forward. As in, if you normally would start your new pack at 10 PM on Sunday, instead start the first pill at 12 noon on Sunday. As long as you don't go more than 7 days without coverage, you should be fine!!

Just my 2 cents,

Hi mystifyingl, welcome back!

It's good to have you back. Beginning your new pack at Noon is fine. No back-up is needed if the interval between the old and new time is less than 24 hours. If you switch at the start of a new pack I don't think you will notice any side effects.

Good luck,
