Are My Pills Working?

I just started taking the pill, should start the placebos on Sunday, and then I will have gone the first month for full protection (Sunday start). I used to take Allegra D every day, but, sorry if this is TMI, those pills *pass* through me. I think part of the reason is that they have a think shiny coating on them, and my stomach doesn’t digest them properly. I’m on Yasmin-28, and I don’t feel or see that same kind of coating, but I’m scared it won’t give me the protection because of my problems with the other Rx I take. Will I have the same problem with my BCP, the "not digesting" problem? I guess I'm asking if I'm really getting the hormones?
Thanks for your help!

Oral contraceptives are very easily digestible. I don't think you should have any problem with them but that's a question you might want to ask you doctor or pharmacist. It usually takes 2-5 days for Aunt Flo to arrive after taking the last active pill and periods on the pill take a few cycles to settle into a pattern. You should be fine. Let us know when Aunt Flow arrives, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
