Well I'm on my 1st week of the 3rd month using the patch. I got my period last week but I wanted to take a pregnancy test because my boyfriend came in me last month like 4 times. But 3 days ago he came in me...will the pregnancy test still work give me correct response if its been 3 days??? We always withdraw but only once and a while I let him come in me...is that okay?? I use the patch correctly always sticks on...lifts a bit but always sticks back...no antibiotics...so any possibility it could not work?? I've only had some breat tenderness and alittle sensitivity added to my emotions but it all seems normal to me...so I guess either it's made perfect for me or its not working lol. well someone please give me some answers..thanxs again--everyone is always soo helpful on these boards.

nothing is 100% fool proof. but if you are using the patch as directed and your getting your period i highly dought that you are pregos. Since it concerns you so mutch have you though about usng condoms to ease your mind. you do realize that pulling out is not an effective birthcontrol method. that his percum can get you pregos wehter or not he comes in you or not. IM shure your fine though i wouldnt worry

I'm sure you are just fine. The patch is very close to 100% effective (not quite, but very close). You are just fine to have unprotected sex with it, but if it is worrying you so much, you probly should do as the other poster says and use a condom. It is way too early to do a pregnancy test. It is also probly too early to feel pregnancy symptoms - typically takes at least a week. The earliest you can possibly get a positive on a pregnancy test (and I say possibly, it's definitely not 100%) is 2 weeks after the proposed sexual activity. So really, don't worry about it.

I have a similar question as the OP, but I just want to know if, in general, wearing the patch would cause a false negative on a pregnancy test?

Hi beatrice1592, welcome!

Wearing the patch or using any hormonal contraceptive will not affect the detection of HCG the pregnancy hormone tested for with a pregnancy test kit. Thanks for posting.

Good luck,
