Stopping the pill

Hello all. Sorry if this has been asked already, I couldn't find it. Anyway, I finished my pill pack last month and had a period like normal. I have decided to stop taking bc to have another baby. My period ended about a week ago and my breasts are really tender and a little swollen. I feel like I'm about to start menstrating all over again. Is this normal after stopping the pill? If so, how long will it take for my hormones to normalize again. It's driving me crazy!
Thank you

If you began a new pack and then stopped you will have another period as your body sees the drop in hormones as it's signal to bleed again, just as it did at the end of your active pills in each pack. How long that bleed will last will depend on how long it takes your natural hormones to regain control of your cycle, perhaps a few days or maybe longer.
If you stopped active pills at the end of your pack and just didn't start a new pack then your body is adjusting to having only your natural hormones again. It may take several months for your natural cycles to stabilize. Good luck TTC!
