Hi ladies - my problem, once again is that AF will not seem to visit me. I know, some people probably think I'm crazy, but I haven't had AF since the 3rd week of MAY. I talked to my DR about it, and she told me to start taking my desogen again, which I did, about a month ago. Well I'm on day 6 of the placebo week, and still nothing. No spotting, cramping nothing. I saw my Dr on Wednesday AM ( I had to have a repap) and she switched me to Nuva ring, and told me to insert it on Friday, (yesterday, which I did) This is really starting to annoy me, when I was on the pill before, I always got my period by Thursday, but this month nothing. Am I overreacting? I think I'm starting to go crazy. I don't think I'm pregnant, I took a test in June, July and one the other day. So, what's up?? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks a lot! :) Jen

Hi Jen, welcome back!

AF still has time to show up. I don't remember you situation exactly... Are you on BCPs to regulate your cycles? If you weren't experiencing side effects from the pill which brought on your periods in the past, can you return to that one? It is possible, for some women, on some pills, to skip their periods. It is good that your doc is on board so she can monitor your situation. I hope the mix of hormones in NuvaRing will work well for you and that AF will show up soon. Let us know how you're doing, ok?

Good luck,

Hi Jill - I'm not on BCP to regulate my cycles. I'm usually like clockwork, with or without the pill.( I have been on several different pills ortho cyclen, sprintec, and more recently desogen) I think the depo shots I had last year really screwed my body up!!

Ah, yes, Depo can throw off some women for 18 months or more. I Hope NuvaRing will be what you are looking for.

Hugs,
