Brith control question
| Sun, 09-05-2004 - 11:22pm |
Hi everyone,
I just started birth control pills (Alleyse). Obviously, my fiance and I are not ready yet to start a family and I was wondering if there was anything else I should be aware of for my pills to work correctly. I know that birth control pills are not 100% effective and I want to make sure that we do everything we can to make sure we do not become pregnant just yet and to make the most of my pill effectiveness, like will not taking them the same time everyday really effect how they work, etc.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Brooke

“I was wondering if there was anything else I should be aware of for my pills to work correctly.”
That is an excellent question from someone just beginning oral contraceptives. Read the patient information leaflet that comes with your pills and keep it handy in case you need to refer to it. Also, read the post "Taking your pills correctly" in the FAQs at the top of the board. Other FAQs that will be of interest to you are: “Common pill side effects”, “Irregular bleeding anyone” and “How the pill works and more”. We're here if you have more questions. Let us know how you like Aleese, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
