Me and my wonderful luck, I feel like such a clutz. Anyways the thing is, that I started taking my active pills a day earlier, I ussually start on Sundays, but after a 12 hour shift at work, I kept on thinking that it was actually Sunday, when it was Saturday, and I started my active pills. Now I know that this shouldn't be a problem, because I moved backwards instead of forwards, the only thing is, that I liked having a Sunday start. How would I go about going back to that? Would I just start my next pack on a Sunday and then use back up protection for that whole pack? I ussually get my period on the Wednesday of the sugar pills, and I know when I first went on the pills the doctor said to start on the Sunday after my period. So could I just do that? I feel really silly right now, but I was just wondering if any of you could give me some advice.
Thanks in advance!

You can go eight days without active pills (using back up on the 8th (inactive) day and until you have taken 7 active pills correctly from the new pack. Or, you can move your start day in 2 parts, by shortening your placebo interval by 3 days for each of 2 cycles. That way no back-up would be needed. Let us know what you decide, ok?
Take care,
Jill
Also, this may be totally off topic, but if you're on the pills, how much lighter is your period stupposed to be? I've noticed that since I've been on the pills my period is sitll about 3 days only much lighter... is this different depending on the person?
*sigh* what would I do without you guys? Probably go crazy and harass my doctor 24/7 with questions, it's nice to have a message board like this =).

>> I should be alright, even if I started on Saturday right? I think I'm going to go with starting on the 8th day with my next pack, and just use back-up for that whole month, it'll just make me feel safer.
Yes, you should be ok this last pack, since you started a day early. Remember, on the 8th hormone free day you need to begin using back-up. If you feel better using BU the entire month, that's fine.

It's entirely up to your body as to how it is going to handle pill-periods, withdrawal bleeding. For most of us our periods are lighter and shorter, but that's not always the way it goes. Let us know how you're doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
