spotting or btb?

I'm on my first pack of Seasonale in the 6th week. I haven't had any problems with bleeding up until now.
I started the pack the sunday after my period. However THAT period happened to come 2 weeks early for what reason i don't know. So i started the pills anyway and was fine until about 9/18 when i guess i started spotting? or is it breakthrough bleeding - i don't know. It stopped and i was fine on 9/19 then started bleeding again yesterday (9/20) and its still going on today. Its not heavy at all - very light in fact...just a little brown discharge - enough that i have to wear a pantyliner. Sorry if its TMI.
So this would be the week that my period would normally come if i weren't on the pill. Is this normal and will it stop soon? And is this breakthrough bleeding or spotting? I don't really know what the difference is.
Also do you think this is something i should expect every month? Or has anybody ever had this happen and it was just a one time thing???

~Thanks~

I think of spotting as what happens immediately before and after my full flow period and break-through-bleeding as bleeding mid cycle. Irregular (break-through) bleeding is very common for the first 2-3 extended cycles, 6-9 months. As your body adjusts to being continuously on hormones the bleeding should disappear. I know it's an aggravation but eventually it should disappear. Let us know how you're doing, ok?
Hugs,
Jill
