when to expect period on OTCLo

I have a question about ortho tricyclen lo. I just went through my first pack of pills and I am now on my third day of the green sugar pills. Should I expect my period on the first day of green pills, or just some time this week? I am a little nervous about accidental pregnancy because I feel quite certain that I had ovulation signs this month. I was previously nursing for the last 10 months and on micronor, and just made the switch. I have not had a period since giving birth and now I'm anxious that it has not arrived yet on the green pills. Any information is so appreciated!

Thanks.

Any time this week! ;) When you start the pill, the first couple of months can be a little dicey because you don't know when to expect your period. Typically, periods start 2-5 days after the last active pill. A lot of us seem to start on day 3, but I've started as late as day 4 or 5 before. And sometimes the first period doesn't show up at all. If you just stopped nursing, that may complicate things a little bit as your hormones are a little different than when most of us start the pill.

Try to hang out, it might be another day or two! Good luck!

I'm in my fifth month on otc-lo, and my period has come anywhere from 1 to 4 days after my last active pill--so you're probably fine. I haven't settled into a precisely predictable cycle yet, which is a little annoying. I've also noticed that I seem to have longer periods (about 7 days) on otc-lo than I did when I was not on bcp, just fyi.

My first few months on OTC lo, I didn't start to probably the 5th or 6th inactive day. Now that I've been on it for 14 months, I probably start the first or second day of inactives .

Hope that helped!
