Birth Control and Pregnancy

If you continue to still take birth control when you are pregnant, is it possible that it will kill the baby??
And I was also wondering if it was plausible, without a condom, to get pregnant with birth control. My boyfriend only once came inside me, but we had been using withdrawl for the most part, just to be safe (because I can not stand condoms). But, it is day 2 of the green/sugar pill because I am taking the 28 day ones, and I still have about 6 days left.
Thank you.
Edit: Does anyone here take Enpresse? If so, are the green pills sugar pills or are they regular hormone pills? Thank you!!!

Are you taking your pills exactly as directed? If you are, then it's almost impossible to get pregnant on birth control pills. If you don't take them on time, or miss days, then the odds of pregnancy start going up.
I am currently on the 2nd pill of my 'reminder' pills or week 4 of a 28 day pack, and I still haven't gotten my period. Should I wait until I am on my LAST green pill to take a home pregnancy test, just in case?
(Oh, and we used withdrawl each time. I'm not sure if I mentioned that or not. But, latex bothers me badly.)

I don't think there is any evidence that continuing oral contraceptives, until the woman realizes she is pg, will harm the baby. She should stop taking them as soon as she finds she is pg.

There is no 100% effective method of contraception except abstinence. However, if you have been taking your pills correctly they are be 98-99% effective and you should be quite safe.

Aunt Flo usually appears from the second to the fifth day of placebo pills, but can be earlier or later. It will take 4 or 5 cycles for your period to develop a pattern so you will know when AF should appear.

The green pills contain no hormones. The hormone dosages in Enpresse are:
Enpresse 28 (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets, USP - triphasic regimen) Description: Generic for Triphasil. Available in packages of six cyclic dispensers. Each cycle contains 28 round tablets as follows: six pink, coated tablets marked dp and 510, each containing 0.050mg levonorgestrel and 0.030mg ethinyl estradiol; five white, coated tablets marked dp and 511, each containing 0.075mg levonorgestrel and 0.040mg ethinyl estradiol; ten orange, coated tablets marked dp and 512, each containing 0.125mg levonorgestrel and 0.030mg ethinyl estradiol and seven light-green inert tablets marked dp and 519.
Since you seem to be a new user of hormonal contraceptives it would be a good idea to read the FAQs in the folder below. We have a lot of info. there about how to take your pills correctly, common pill side effects, how the pill works and irregular bleeding issues. Let us know how you like Enpresse and how you're doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
If you do have problems remembering your pills, then you could consider using the patch or the Nuva Ring instead. Those don't need to be thought of as often and give a steady dose of hormones all the time. The patch is changed once a week for three weeks, and the Nuva Ring is left in place for three weeks at a time.
