My gyn has switched me to Ovcon-35. Is there a generic for that? If so, what is it called?

TIA, Brandy

If you go to the post titled "Your pills and what's in them" in the FAQ folder, you'll find a list of all of the pills that I could find and all of the different names that they go by. If you look under Ovcon 35, I couldn't find any generics of Ovcon 35. BUT, there are several generics for Brevicon, which is slightly different than Ovcon 35.

There may be a generic for Ovcon 35 that's out there that we haven't heard about yet, but your best bet, as the other member mentioned, would be to call your pharmacy and ask. It's pretty unusual that there isn't a generic!

Good luck!

My best friend is on Ovcon now, and she's on the generic of it, though i'm not sure of the name. I seem to remember there being some settlement about Barr coming up with a generic of Ovcon when it wasn't their drug to begin with ...? Thought I read that in my pharmaceutical news last year sometime.
