Switching pills? Any suggestions?

I have been on OTC Lo since March. Starting in July, I have had nausea during the 1st week of pills, breast tenderness starting during the second and continuing to AF, and spotting during the 3rd week. I am thinking that switching to a monophasic pill would be the best thing for me. Apparently, my body can't handle the change in hormones each week. I was thinking about Yasmin. Any info, experiences with Yasmin, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Also, when you switched, did you have to go back in for another exam, or did you just call and ask for a new pill? Thanks!

You can switch pills with a simple phone call! But you might want to see if your doctor has any suggestions for the next pill to try. If you're having spotting during the third week, nausea, and new breast tenderness, you may want to find pill with a different progestin that is stronger than what's in OTC Lo (it's probably not so much to do with the phases). The estrogen content will make a difference here, and Yasmin has more of a stronger progestin and more estrogen, so it may work, or you may get to try again, the only way to know is to give it a shot!

Good luck!
