Hello...i recently got off the pill and was just wondering can i get pregnant, by having unprotected sex. But the most importnant thing i would like to know is.. Is it normal for me to have my monthly period for two weeks, usually i have it for 4-5 days..but the thing is, it wasnt heavy at all it's been week from the begining to now, and i was just a little worried and wondering is that from getting off the pill and well it eventually stop or am i pregnant.. if there is an explaination to this or shall i go see my doctor..thank you and would like to some advice would really mean alot to me

Once you stop taking the pill, your protection ends. There is no lingering protection after that last pill cycle ends, so if you start ovulating again right away, you can definitely get pregnant right away too.

Some women have irregular periods when they come off the pill--the same as you have to allow a couple of months for your body to get used to taking the pill, you have to allow a couple of months to get used to being off of it too! You might call your doctor to see if it's worthwhile for you to come in, but they may just tell you to wait it out and see how long the bleeding continues (they don't get real excited unless they're the ones bleeding, you know?).
