What is the Progestin only pill like? What is the difference in what its like to be on it as compared to a combo pill? Will you have less acne, weight gain, moodiness?

thanks!

It is very time sensitive. Like if I am even like one hour late taking it, I get BTB or heavy spotting. And I mean one hour my set time, not one hour from the "zone"

I had horrible side effects on regular birth control pills and tried the mini pill for about a year. My side effects (mainly moodiness and depression for me) went away completely and I felt great. The main problem I had though was irregular bleeding. Mini pills don't control your periods like regular pills do. The first few months I was basically having a period every other week. That eventually settled down though.

The other thing about mini pills is that they aren't as effective. You must be absolutely on time taking them. Being more than three hours late counts as missing and means you need backup contraception. My doctor also advised using a backup during ovulation. Sometime they might stop ovulation, but about 50% of the time they don't.
