Hey. Okay I'm pretty young so this is for anyone who knows about the patch. I want to put the patch on my abdomen like it says I can, instead of my butt, but I'm not sure where exactly on my abdomen. So i was wondering if someone can describe where to put, beacuse I don't want to put it soemwhere and have it be ineffective. Thanks a bunch.

Hi Brattyblonde104...

I'm hoping that you read the disclaimer at the top of this message board before you posted here. Nobody under the age of 18 is permitted to post here. So, I'm hoping that you're at least that age...

While I probably shouldn't answer your question because I pretty much know that you're underage, I'd rather answer you and help you prevent and unwanted pregnancy than ignore you and have yet another teenager with a baby on the way. So, I better not get in trouble for this!

That said, the area of your abdomen that you want to place the patch on is right over your ovary, just to the inside of your hip. Basically, right on your front panty line to the far right or left side, lower than your belly button and right next to your hip.

If you ever have any questions about your birth control or if you're unsure about something concerning it, always check the information provided with your package or call a health care worker for advice.

Hi, just wanted to say that I had been on the patch for a while and I liked it cause it was pretty effective. On another thread I was telling someone that there are risks in using the patch. I was on the patch for a while but ended up being hospitalized and in ICU cause I got clots from it. I have read of about 20 girls who have died from them and I am one of the blessed ones who didn't. If you are gonna be on it please make sure that you go see the doctor or hospital at the first signs of chest or shoulder pains or if your leg starts to hurt or feels warm and swollen. Good luck!
