i have a question. i just got off depo on sept 2nd, and since then i feel like total crap.
i know that it takes a while for your body to get back on track w/ everything. But i am in alot of pain for the past 3 weeks i have been cramping and having lower back pains so bad that i can't barely move or get comfotable cause it hurts so bad. some days i feel really swollen, and other days i am so sleepy that i almost fall asleep at my desk at work! my moods are an emotional rollercoaster. And i feel so sad and depressed, i know it's cause my hormones are trying to readjust ( i am not currently on any bc) to the depo getting out of my sytem. but do you think with the severe cramping for the past 3 wks that my period should be here any time now? i know that it can take a long time to get your period after getting off depo but i don't want to feel like this for 3 more months, actually i don't want to feel like this anymore.so do you guys think maybe i am getting close to aunt flo comming since i am cramping bad? please any comments or suggestions would really make my day.

thanks all

Hi Hon,

I'm sorry you're feeling so blah... I hope AF is on the way but no one can say for sure. I forget, can you take combined BCPs? If you can you might want to talk to your doctor about putting you on one for a few months, just to get you regularized again. That often works with women having a difficult time coming off Depo. I hope you're feeling lots better soon! Let us know how you're doing, ok?

Hugs,

I agree with Jill, you may want to call your doctor for assistance. Sometimes the transition is hard, and if there's something he can do to help, it might be worth it, you know? And in the off chance that it's not Depo related, you'd have your doctor in the loop earlier rather than later. If the pain is severe, you're definitely not being a wimp by asking for some help!

Good luck, I hope the doctor has some good news for you!
