Hello everyone. I'm 27 yrs old and have been married for a little over 2 yrs now. I've been on Tri-Sprintec (generic for Ortho-Tri Cyclen) from the start of our marriage. Just recently, hubby and I have decided to try to have a baby. My last LMP was Oct 6, 2004. I started my 28-day pack on Oct 10 and took only the first week of pills. I stopped taking the pill on Oct 18. Last night, Oct 21st I got my period again (in the same month). I've always had normal cycles before taking the pill and during the pill.
In order for us to get pregnant, do I start counting from LMP Oct 6th or LMP Oct 21st? Did the absence of the hormones in the pill cause the period? I've read articles that women typically experience a delay in their period after stopping the pill. Most women have to wait months before their period starts again... Does this mean that my cycle has immediately turned to normal? Thanks in advance!

I got my period 28 days after stopping the pill, so you won't necessarily be irregular. But more effective than counting days will be keeping an eye on your cervical fluid. Creamy or egg white are the best signs of fertility. If you want all the details read Taking Charge of Your Fertility.
It sometimes takes a cycle or two for your body to get back to normal after stopping the pill....good luck. This information page might help you learn to notice when you're most fertile and help you learn how to chart and all....
