Question about which BCP to try

I am in need of some advice...

I am a 35 year old mother of 2. My husband had a vasectomy 2 years ago, so birth control is not my reason for being on the pill. I am looking for a new BCP to help control mild acne and decrease pms symptoms (primarily irritability). I have been taking Seasonale for the past 5 months and been unsatisfied with the results, mainly the 7-10 pounds that I put on (yikes!). I am in good health. Any suggestions out there? Thanks so much!

Hi kellyslpgirl, welcome!

You might want to try NuvaRing http://www.nuvaring.com/Consumer/index.asp It is a 2 inch flexible ring that continuously releases a small amount of hormones. It is worn in the vagina for 3 weeks and removed for one for your period. NuvaRing has the lowest dose of hormones of any method available in the U.S. and since it can be worn for an additional week (a total of 4) without any decrease in effectiveness you can very easily adjust your periods if needed. I hope other posters will be along to share their faves. Let us know what you decide, ok? Thanks for posting.

Good luck,
