New Question: RE EC side effects

OK- to recap:I took ECP Tuesday at noon after unprot. ic on Sunday. I then ovulated Tuesday night (yes, I am absolutely positive) I read the side effects on the packaging and I did have some light cramping and nausea Tuesday evening- but not bad. All night Wed and Thur and off and on today I have had cramps. Is this still the side effect from the EC- could they last that long? Or is it something else?

Also, when I spoke to my ob's nurse to obtain the RX she said I was "getting prettey close" to the time limit for taking EC. However, I was not quite 48 hrs at the time (about 40, to be exact). She said she would "go ahead and have it called in anyway," but then added- you might get pregnant anyway. I guess that's why I'm so freaked out. She didn't seem to have much confidence that it was going to work for me; then when I ovulated Tue night, that just sent me through the roof.

Anyway, thanks for being so helpful and patient. I promise, I'm not usually so HIGH MAINTANENCE.

Hi hon, I think cramping for several days after taking EC can be a side effect. It's a shame your doctor's nurse wasn't a bit more up-beat. EC is effective within the first 72 hours so you do have a good chance of it working for you! Do you have an activity that you can loose yourself in; exercising, reading, needlework or anything else that will occupy your mind? I know waiting can be terrible but if you ovulated then Aunt Flo should be along in another week. Hang in there!
