i'm not too concerned, but i was just wondering what other people thought. i've been on alesse for 3 years (on and off) i've noticed that my periods have become lighter each month. if i was comparing my period this week to what it would have been a few years ago there would be many differences. i'm just wondering if the pill would effect this and the duration of the pill would affect it more, ie the longer your on it the lighter your period gets? right now i'm using pantiliners for 4 days. it used to be regular pads (back when i used to wear them) for 5 days. i cant wear tampons any more b/c there's not enough 'flow' (thats gross to think of huh?)
anyways, i'm not concerned about pregnancy or anything, i'm just curious as to what's caused the switch and if it's 'harmfull' or if it'll continue being like this or get even lighter yet (which would prob mean no period at all)

I think lightening periods can be totally natural. Many members have posted about it and it shouldn't be harmful at all. I think what's happening is that as we age the hormones in our pills interact differently with our changing body chemistry. Thanks for posting.
Take care,
Jill
