Curently I am using the Orthro evra patch. I love it so much because I dont have to do anything but change it weekly. I started using it because the pill makes me nausiated no matter what dosage of estrogen it is, and I really didnt want to be on depo. I have talked to friends using the patch also and have brought to my attention of them noticing depression (which is the main concern) and other things. Ever since I heard them saying that, I realized that I have been depressed more often lately and having migranes and cramps, which my dr has said that its the patch. I want to change my bc method to something else that wont cause me to have depression, which is disturbing my marriage. Can anyone tell me about some other options out there besides the pill and the shot? Ive been reading about the NuvaRing, but I want to know my other options out there. Please help me.

You might want to consider an IUD or a cervical barrier. There are posts about both methods in our FAQs. Planned Parenthood will give you the full list of options available, with pros and cons http://www.plannedparenthood.org/bc/cchoices.html and the effectiveness of each method. http://www.plannedparenthood.org/bc/bcfacts2.html Let us know what you decide, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
