the pill and daylight savings

Ok, here's my question. I know for the pill to be most effective it must be taken the same time everyday, some say within a +/-2 period. When daylight savings time occurred, i continued to take my pill at 10pm (but because of the time change, that's 1 hr later), I wasnt too worried about that, last night i fell asleep and woke up around midnight and took my pill then, 2 hrs late. That's kinda pushing the time limits a little. Will the time change from sunday increase the risk of ineffectiveness of taking it two hours late since the two days were so close together? I plan on using a backup just to be safe, but it piqued my curiousity...

The important thing is how close you are to taking your pills 24 hours apart. You were on the edge of the +/-2 hour on-time limit. You should be ok. Being between 2 and 8 hours late can cause some side effects and being late is not something you want to do very often. If it makes you feel more confident then it never hurts to use back-up. Thanks for posting.
Good luck,
Jill
