Stupid Question?

I'm taking Ortho-Lo and this is my first time ever on bc. While taking the dark blue pills, I started spotting and it got progressively worse. The last couple days of the dark blue pills, I was bleeding the amount I normally do on a regular period. I now have just 2 placebo pills to take before I start a new pack. I bled the week before I started the placebos and for 2 days while actually taking the placebos, now I have nothing. Last night and today there was literally just a few drops. I've had sex twice since I've been on the pills. Once on the 14th day and then again on Halloween :D. My question is, could I have gotten pregnant or do I just have no more blood left to lose since I lost so much with the spotting and the 2 days I actually bled on the placebo pills? All so confusing lol.

It sounds like your period just came a little earlier than you expected while your body is adjusting to the new hormones. It can take up to three months for things to become regular and even then, some women always experience "early" periods like this.

As long as you`ve taken your pills on time every day (within +/- 2 hours of your taking time), haven`t had any vomiting or diarrhea within 2 hours after taking your pill, and haven`t been on any medications that might change the effectiveness of your birth control, like antibiotics or St. John`s Wort, you should be well protected against pregnancy.

I hope this helps! Feel free to stop by anytime you have a question. There are a ton of really knowledgeable women around that can definitely lend a helping hand. :)
