Problem with spotting and other things

Hi all, I'm a little nervous right now but that could be the hypocondriac in me. Anyway, about 2 weeks ago I started with the breakthrough bleeding. I'm on Yasmin and just went back to it from Seasonale. I started the btb and didn't think too much of it figuring my body was getting used to Yasmin again since I just stopped Seasonale. I suffered through the btb, had my period and finally have been blood free for the past 3 days.

Today after IC I noticed the same light blood again and I'm assuming it's like spotting. It's barely noticeable and it just started but I was wondering how could this be btb again when I just finished the btb then to a period and I was finally FREE of it all. Could sex have jump started the btb again? I just had a check up with the gyn last month so there was nothing abnormal, polyps, fibroids or anything like that. Could this be from sex? Anyone experience this?

Thanks in advance

Hi there-

I Just wanted to let you know you are not alone. I have been on OTC for as long as I can remember. I STILL have problems with BTB and it is usually AFTER IC...not always immediately after but sometimes a day or so later...very annoying yes. I too was concerned and consulted my dr. about the problem and she did a through check up and everything came back fine...she concluded that it was likely a pill side effect.

A few other people have mentioned that when their cervix takes a hit they bleed a little right after IC.

Hope this makes you feel a little better...I have gotten used to this happening and since everything was fine with my tests that helps me to not worry. Good Luck!

Hi Nicole, welcome back!

Irregular bleeding is quite common during the first several cycles on a new pill and if you're still adjusting to Yasmin again that could be what's happening. Yep, it's also possible that IC could be causing a bit of bleeding. I know it's annoying but since your pelvic was ok I don't think you have anything to worry about. If I were you I think I'd give myself another cycle and see if things settle down but If you're concerned then let your doctor know what's going on. Let us know how you're doing, ok?

Good luck,
