I'm on LoEsterin 1.5 for 2 months. I've been having sex since july. I skipped the "reminder" pills at the end of month 2 because I accidently schedualed my physical during my period. At the end of the week that was supposed to be my period(aka yesterday) I had sex and began to bleed a little...and I'm still bleeding. Do you think its the pill or the sex?

thanks for your help!

Hi vitamix, welcome back!

Since you are only on your second month of Loestrin you are probably still adjusting to the new hormones. During the adjustment period it’s more difficult to skip successfully, even on a monophasic pill such as Loestrin. For some women BCPs do seem to make the cervix more prone to bleed a bit during/after IC. See if bleeding occurs after IC for the next few times. If your last annual was ok I don't think you have anything to be concerned about but you might just want to let your doctor know what's going on. Let us know how you're doing, ok?

Good luck,

Continue to take your pills, all the actives and then the placebos. I know it's annoying. I’m sorry, the bleeding might go on until you start your next pack. After your hormone free week your cycle should reset itself. Let us know how you're doing.

Good luck,
