A quick question about nuva ring

ok i just started nuva ring on saturday so far so good no throwing up yet which im excited about even the patch made me sick for the first one i put on every month. any wya my question is if i want to skip AF how do it do it do i just leave the ring in for 4 weeks or do i take it out at 3 weeks and put a new one in right away with out a break in between. im just courious iv never needed to skip one before but with things being so crazy with the deployment comming i may need to work it around something thanks for the info

Hi Julie,

I'm glad NuvaRing is working well so far! You can try moving your period either way, leaving it in for 4 weeks would seem to be the easiest and least expensive. If you can wait until you are through the first 3 cycles on the ring before you try delaying your period you might have greater success. Not all women can skip their periods successfully but once your body has adjusted to the hormones you stand the best chance. Keep us posted on how the ring is working for you, ok?

thanks for the info im going to try to not have to do it if at all possible but with the way things go wiht deployemnts i wanted to know in case i needed to try and skip one. thanks again for the info im really hoping this works out good and i dont have any problems with it im so tired of the side effects but i may not even be on this for more thne 8 months cues we are tinking about starting out family when hubby gets back. but its still in discussion. any way thinks again
