Side effects, maybe?

I stopped using the patch on last thursday (when I took it off). I was on it for almost 1 1/2 yrs. My hubby and I had decided that the side effects (mood swings, depression, extreme tiredness, and migraines) I was having werent helping our marriage. My last period started exactly 2 weeks ago. But I am now bleeding again. Is this normal or ok for this to be happening? Ive never stopped using bc in the middle of the cycle so I dont exactly know if I should be bleeding. And its not heavy or spotting, its like a normal period but brighter, I guess you could say.
I wanted to ask you ladies if any of you have been through this before I called my dr and got this whole lecture. Please let me know anything.

It is normal to bleed after stopping hormones (pill, patch or ring) in mid cycle. Your body sees the drop in hormones when you removed your last patch just as it would if you were at the end of a 3 patch cycle. You may continue to bleed until you would normally have your patch free week. I hope you can find an effective method of contraception that will work well for you. There are plenty of hormonal options to choose from. If you are looking for something other than hormones and haven't decided what to try next you might want to look at the post ‘Deciding which method is right for you’, in our FAQs and information on the Planned Parenthood site, Contraceptive Choices: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/bc/cchoices.html and Comparison of Effectiveness; http://www.plannedparenthood.org/bc/bcfacts2.html Let us know how you’re doing and what you decide, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
